Comments: This is a tough listen. Requires concentration and a few stops and starts to understand and maybe follow up on the subject matter. Not a light-hearted subject, although very interesting if you take your time.
I have had to stop listening to this.
This is an academic piece and should be read. It's full of dates and people, which of course tells the story, but to listen to it is a bit too much to take in. If you are studying the subject, which is interesting, then it deserves more time to sit down and read and possibly take notes. I don't like dropping a title, but on this occasion I'm afraid I had to.

An autobiography that charts the life of a young guy from the east end of London, who, from delivering newspapers as a kid for £12 a week, studies at the LSE, and has a mind for mathematics, rapidly climbs to be one of the world's top traders, making his first million by the age of 23.
His “expertise” was trading world disasters and betting that the economy was broken and getting worse sighting economic inequality as the engine behind economic Armageddon.
By his late 20s, living in Japan and burnt out, his employer, Citibank, did all they could to prevent him from leaving and claiming his 2 million pound bonus, despite making over 12 billion for the bank during his fast paced, short career with them.
An excellent read full of bad language that will one day make a good film, I’m sure.
