My first page using Markdown

Who uses Markdown anyway...? Oh and why? Heading sizes work

I used to ask those questions... Why, when there are so many WYSIWYG text editors around. These are valid questions.

this is my first web posting in markdown Italic works

and so far I quite like it. It is easy to write, distraction free and very portable Bold works

The one thing I've not quite mastered or understood is images, linking them, sizing them etc. Thats for another time.
